Janet Truncale

EY Global Chair and CEO–Elect

Janet is the EY Global Chair and CEO-Elect and will assume her new role on 1 July 2024 to lead one of the largest professional services organizations in the world. EY last year achieved US$50 billion in revenues and has approximately 400,000 people in nearly 150 countries. Prior to being elected to this post, Janet served as EY Vice Chair and Regional Managing Partner of the Americas Financial Services Organization (FSO), where she led a diverse team of over 14,000 professionals across 90 offices.

Throughout her 30-year career in professional services, Janet has provided assurance and consulting services to leading Fortune 500 companies. She has worked closely with boards, audit committees, and senior management to resolve complex business issues, and has served as the Global Client Service Partner and Senior Advisory Partner on many of the EY organization’s largest global clients.

Janet joined EY as an intern and has served in many different capacities over the course of her career. Previously, she was the Assurance Managing Partner for the Americas FSO Region, with direct oversight of the financial performance and growth of the business. She also served as the Banking and Capital Markets Co-Sector Leader and the Initial Public Offering Leader.

She received her BSE from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Columbia University. She is a certified public accountant in New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

How Janet is building a better working world

Janet is a champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the marketplace and communities. As a member of the EY Global Social Equity Task Force, Janet has played an important role in the development and launch of the EY "Uplift" campaign and of other social equity initiatives across the global organization. In addition, she has served as the executive sponsor of the EY US Veterans Network.

Outside of the EY organization, Janet serves as the Board Chair for Women’s World Banking, a global non-profit devoted to giving more low-income women access to critical financial tools. She is also on the Board of Directors of UNICEF USA. Janet has received the Profiles in Diversity Journal Women Worth Watching Award and was named in the Crain’s New York Business Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting list (2019 and 2021).
